Having over +8 years of experience in research and organization, Fuji considers himself a future Indonesian anthropologist who is interested in diaspora, human development and cultural preservation. He was born on 18 September 1990 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. His academic background includes BA (S.Sos) Sociology at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia (graduated in 2012 as the best student with Summa Cumlaude GPA 3.92 out of 4.00) and MSc Anthropology and Development Studies at Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands (2015) funded by LPDP Indonesian Scholarship at PK-15. After the study of master, he received a Letter of Acceptance of conducting PhD research in the same university in the Netherlands. Other selected-trainings includes ASEAN Youth and Evolving Regional Architecture Training at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand (2013), and  Legislative Drafting Training at Indonesia Jentera School of Law (2014).

His previous working experiences includes a Head of Research at Biennale Jogja (2014) in which one of his responsibilities handling fieldwork research in Bangalore, India and Madagascar, Africa; Research Assistant at Youth Studies Centre (2011-2014); Academic Accreditation Assistant at Sociology Department, Gadjah Mada University (2013); and Child Social Worker at Children Museum of Anak Kolong Tangga (2009-2014). In addition, starting in October 2017 until March 2018, he worked as a Research Fellow in National Library Board of Singapore funded by Lee Khong Chian Fellowship for a research on Singaporean-Javanese.

In Nijmegen-the Netherlands in 2015, he initiated the research center of which focus on Javanese diaspora studies later names as Golong Gilig in association with the Cultural Board of Yogyakarta Government. Therefore to the date, he becomes a Director of Golong Gilig Institute of Javanese Diaspora Studies. Hitherto, he had disseminated some publications addressing Javanese diaspora in around the world such as at Indonesian Scholar Talks (Den Haag-the Netherlands, 2015), Nijmegen Indonesian Forum (Nijmegen-the Netherlands, 2015), Javanese Language Conference “Kongres Bahasa Jawa VI” (Yogyakarta, 2016), Public Lecture with Suriname-Javanese (UGM Yogyakarta, 2017), RRI Radio (2017), and in Yogyakarta City Hall (2017).
